Summer Dance Classes

6 weeks

Mon, June 30th through Thursday, August 7th 

June 23-27        Hansel and Gretal Dance Camp with Nancy Pierce

Ages 4-6                 9:30-12:00 Noon

 

Be prepared to have a lot of fun with Miss Nancy as you take ballet class, learn some dances to tell the story of Hansel and Gretal, help make your own sets, and more dance related arts and crafts.  A snack will be provided.  Dance experience is not necessary for this camp– you will learn how!

 

July 7-11            Cinderella Dance Camp with Nancy Pierce

Ages 7-10 yrs        8:30-3:00 pm

                                 

Miss Nancy will teach all her campers ballet, jazz, and dances from the wonderful story of Cinderella. Students will have the opportunity to get creative, designing and creating their own sets and costumes, as well as other dance based arts and crafts.  Students should bring a bag lunch.  Beginners and experienced dancers are welcome. 

 

July 14-18        Coppelia Dance Intensive with Deirdre Duffin                                           Swindlehurst

Ages 10-19             8:30-3:00 pm

                                 

This dance intensive will include ballet, pointe, variations, and pilates, focusing on the ballet Coppelia.  Miss Dede continues to bring her expertise and experience as former ballerina with the Pennsylvania Ballet and Albany Berkshire Ballet into her teaching.  Intermediate and Advanced students welcome.  Students will perform for family and friends at the end of the week. 

 

July 21-25        Dance Intensive -Tap Jazz Lyrical Musical Theatre Ballet                            with Stephanie Morris

Ages 10-19             8:30-3:00 pm

                                 

Stephanie Morris returns to us for the third year to deliver her fun and energetic classes all week long.  Stephanie brings her experience coaching competition style dancers to teach lyrical and jazz dance, as well as using popular musicals as a basis for her tap and musical theatre classes.  Intermediate and Advanced students welcome.  Students will perform for family and friends at the end of the week.

 

July 28-Aug 1   Dance Intensive and Choreographic Workshop with                                  Madeline Culpo and Christine Geren

Ages 10-19             8:30-3:00 pm

                                 

Miss Christine will bring her energetic love of all things ballet to this intensive week of ballet, pointe, and repertory pieces complemented with Pilates.  Madeline Culpo will be sharing her choreographic expertise, spanning over a period of 30 years, with her students this week.  Students will learn the basics of choreography and begin to create their own pieces during the week.  Intermediate and Advanced Students welcome.  Students will perform for family and friends at the end of the week.

 

August 4-8        Dance Intensive – Ballet, Pointe, Lyrical, Musical                                     Theatre with Tracey DiJulia

Ages 10-19             8:30-3:00 pm

 

Miss Tracey joins us from Merrimack, NH and brings her experience as teacher and choreographer for the National Miss Teen Dance Awards to us for the week.  She will teach ballet and pointe, musical theatre and lyrical dance.  Intermediate and Advanced Students welcome.  Students will perform for family and friends at the end of the week.

 

Female Students– Solid color leotards with pink or white tights and ballet slippers.  Hair must be worn in a bun and neatly fastened to the head.

 

Male Students—Black / Gray tights or bicycle shorts, white t-shirt, white socks and black ballet slippers.

 

Pointe—Leotard, tights, properly fitted pointe shoes.

 

Jazz—Leotard, tights, jazz shoes.

 

Tap—Leotard, tights, tap or character shoes.

 

Musical Theatre—Leotard, tights, character or jazz shoes

 

Pilates—Fitted Clothing, Yoga/ Pilates Mat

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Extended Care is available for Dance Intensives Only.

If you are unable to pick up your child at the end of the dance day, and would like to make arrangements for late pick-up, take advantage of our ”Extended Day”.  Please check with the administrator for times and fees.
