An update on the
exciting projects in the works at the ABB this Spring!

Teaching and Leaming in the
Berkshires:
A county-wide teachers workshop, developed to bring area educators and the many
cultural organizations in Berkshire County together for a day of lectures, workshops and
performances, designed to inspire and provide information on the cultural resources
available to schools. ABB Dancers will present a portion of The Rockwell Program to
local teachers - a program created for use in middle schools that includes performances
and workshops relating to Madeline Cantarella Culpa's Rockwell Suite, inspired by
the illustrations of Norman Rockwell. The ABB will be conducting its workshop at the
Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge, MA.

Corey's Aesops Fables for students at the Mechanicsville Elementary School,
Mechanicsville, NY .

An Artists Showcase, sponsored
by the Albany/Schenectady League of Arts, and the Capital Region BOCES at the O'Rourke
Middle School, Burnt Hills, NY. On April 6th, The ABB will bring its Rockwell Program directly
to middle school students, to highlight the ways in which this program applies the NYS
Learning Standards for the Arts.

A residency at Hoosac Valley
Regional High School, in Adams MA.
ABB dancer Alicia Girgenti will spend 50 days, teaching dance, choreographing pieces for
the Hoosac Valley spring musical productions, and working with French students on the
history of dance and ballet terminology. This project has been partially funded by the MA.
Cultural Council, a state agency, and the Fund for Adorns. Hoosac Valley music teacher
Wavelyn Hine is the project coordinator .

A performance of Nancy Pierce's Peter
and The Wolf at Andover High School, in Andover MA. on April 28th. This performance
has been partially funded by the Andover Cultural Council, a local agency of the MA.

The ABB is also
pleased to announce that it has been invited to apply for The Education
Partnership Initiative Grant by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a
three-year program created to encourage lasting change and long term relationships between
schools and cultural organizations.
